Due to Mt Assiniboine's pyramidal shape, it has been unofficially named Canada's Matterhorn. Located in the Rocky Mountains, it rises nearly 1,525 m above Lake Magog. It can only be reached by a six hour hike 27 km or a 10 minute helicopter ride.
